There in no doubt that faced with stiff competition from the New World, Bordeaux negotiants and producers alike are having a tough time There is too much bulk wine doing nothing, but there are some forward thinking companies trying to change our perception of this once dominant region. Premius is a good example, made by the huge Yvon Mau group, now owned by the kings of Cava, Freixenet. It is classical French, with good structure and tannins yet with lovely ripe fruit flavours that show some hints of New World influence. Serve at room temperature with red meats and cheese.

Ce Premius par sa robe distingué par sa robe elegante a reflets tuiles comme par ses aromes griliot et animaux (ji'iur et venaison). Les notes fines de poivre s'expriment dans un palais enorme marqué par tailing, mais qui tirara pro du tempi.
