Moulin à Vent, so named after the ancient windmill that stands proudly on top of a gently rounded hillock at Les Thorins, is full-bodied by Beaujolais standards. This is mainly because the thin topsoil is rich in manganese and other minerals. This results in a wine with a strong, deep colour and the scent of iris. This superb example, from old vines, has had about six months in old oak barrels, giving complexity and structure, and a lovely rounded concentrated fruit flavour in the mouth. To drink within 2–3 years.

Cette cuvée, élevée en fût de chêne, est dotée d’ une robe d’un rubis foncé limpide. Le nez offre un mélange de groseille et de cuir. Avec sa belle structure de tanins fondus, la bouche ample, ronde et souple montre beaucoup de concentration. Aromatique et d’une bonne longueur, ce 99 savoureux et charmeur est à boire dqns les deux ou trois ans.
