Château Pennautier is situated just outside Carcassonne in the Languedoc region of France. Better known for its Cabardès wines, the 400 acre estate also makes a wide range of varietals. If you only drink Aussie Chardonnay, then do try this one. Vinified in French oak barrels it is soft, honeyed and beautifully rounded with a delicious toasty, vanilla flavour. A top class wine from a top class estate.
