Cépages/Grape Varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec

As a wine producing area Bergerac is literally a continuation of Saint-Emilion. The soil is very similar, a mixture of clay, gravel and limestone, as are the grape varieties. This lovely fruity wine is made with a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec, but beware, it is full flavoured and quite full bodied, so don’t expect a light wine. Ideally another 12 months in the cellar will do no harm at all.
